Captain Matt Announces Temporary Pause from Social Media
Houston, Texas — October 14, 2025
Captain Matt Music LLC announced today that founder and recording artist Captain Matt has begun a personal pause from all social media platforms, which officially started on the evening of October 13, 2025.
“Over the past few years, social media has been an incredible way to share my music, my story, and the #BOATCREW lifestyle with people across the Gulf Coast and beyond,” said Captain Matt. “But after a lot of reflection, I felt it was time to step back — to focus on faith, family, and personal growth.”
Captain Matt explained that this decision comes after a season of deep introspection and a renewed desire to live with honesty and intention.
“The Captain Matt journey has always been rooted in faith, family, freedom, and fun — but also in being real,” he said. “Right now, my family needs my full attention, and I need to be present for them. Sometimes you have to drop anchor, breathe, and make sure your compass is pointing true north.”
As part of this pause, Captain Matt’s TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook accounts have been temporarily disabled to allow space for reflection and family time. These accounts have not been permanently deleted and will be reactivated when the time is right.
