“Endless Summer” was inspired after Captain Matt sailed Creola home from Florida and returned to the realities of everyday life in the middle of a scorching Texas summer. The grass was burned up except for a few stubborn weeds, an HOA letter complained those weeds were too tall, unpaid bills were waiting, the kids were glued to their electronics, and almost as soon as he walked through the door, his wife reminded him to take out the trash.
After mowing what was left of the lawn in 100-plus-degree heat, he made a margarita, sank into his La-Z-Boy, and drifted off. Suddenly, the bills, chores, and Texas heat disappeared, replaced by remote islands, beach hammocks, and crystal-blue Caribbean water.
Reality returned when his wife asked, “Didn't I ask you to take the trash out?” So Captain Matt simply closed his eyes and went back to his “Endless Summer.”
The song is a reminder that paradise isn't always a place you have to travel to. Sometimes you just need to close your eyes, escape the pressures of everyday life, and find your own Endless Summer.

SPECIAL THANKS
Thanks to all of the #BoatcrewFamily who continue to be the wind in our sails by supporting us along this journey!
A very special thanks to my wife, Rachel, who believed in me when this was nothing more than a crazy dream and has continued to believe in me every step of the way. Thank you for giving me the courage and freedom to chase something that means so much to me, even when that chase takes me away from home.
To my amazing son, Shawn, and my beautiful daughter, Clara, I hope you always know how proud I am to be your dad. Every mile I travel, every stage I walk onto, and every song I sing means a little more because I know who is waiting for me when the show is over.
The three of you are, and always will be, my "Home Port." No matter how far this journey takes me or where the next adventure leads, you are the reason I will always look forward to finding my way home.
The community is the legacy, and we are proud to be your soundtrack.
Lyrics
Roof’s got a leak, sink’s backed up,
Bills on the table just stacking up.
Work keeps askin’ for me to stay,
But I’m already gone in my mind today.
Neighbors complain 'bout the weeds in my yard,
Credit card’s maxed, yeah, times are hard.
News says storm’s gonna roll on through,
So I just mix a drink and change the view.
I take a slowwwww sip, let the world disappear,
Lean back and set my course out of here.
Sails catch the breeze, the water’s so blue,
Nothing but sunshine as I captain the view.
The real-world fades, I slip of in time,
To that endless summer, in my mind
Drinks in a coconut and sun kissed hair
A beachside hammock without a care.
Then thunder rolls and the vision fades,
As I hear, Did you take out the trash today?"
Wife’s on my case, got a list a mile long,
Says I never listen, says I get it all wrong.
But I close my eyes, and wouldn’t you know,
She’s in a bikini with a drink in tow
I take a slowwwww sip, let the world disappear,
Lean back and set my course out of here.
Sails catch the breeze, the water’s so blue,
Nothing but sunshine as I captain the view.
The real-world fades, I slip of in time,
To that endless summer, in my mind
Palm trees sway where my troubles ain’t,
No traffic, no deadlines, no bills to pay.
Bartender’s smilin’, pourin’ one more,
As the tide rolls in on a carefree shore.
I take a slowwwww sip, let the world disappear,
Lean back and set my course out of here.
Sails catch the breeze, the water’s so blue,
Nothing but sunshine as I captain the view.
The real-world fades, I slip of in time,
To that endless summer, in my mind
