FREEPORT, Texas — July 23, 2026 — Captain Matt and The Boatcrew have concluded their monthly residency at The Loose Cannon Bar in Houston after three performances. While the residency has come to an end, the band's vision for creating community-centered live music experiences continues to grow.

Captain Matt and The Boatcrew are now seeking new residency partners in the surround Houston area for the remainder of 2026. The band is looking to collaborate with venues interested in transforming slower weeknights into destination events that not only provide exceptional live entertainment but also create opportunities for emerging local musicians to perform in front of new audiences.

"We've always believed a residency should be more than a band showing up to play music," said Captain Matt. "It should become something the community looks forward to. A place where customers know they'll have a great time, the venue benefits from increased engagement, and up-and-coming artists have an opportunity to share the stage and grow their audience."
