Captain Matt Music Terminates Agreement with JUS Official Services

Captain Matt and The Boatcrew take direct control of booking and tour operations following financial and operational concerns

FREEPORT, TEXAS | October 3, 2026 — Captain Matt Music, LLC announced today that it has terminated its professional relationship and representation agreement with Nikolas M. Hake d/b/a JUS Official Services. The termination became effective October 2, 2026, immediately upon delivery of formal written notice.

The decision comes during the current Boatcrew Paradise Tour after Captain Matt Music experienced multiple returned payments involving amounts owed to the company by Nikolas Hake and became aware of serious concerns regarding compensation owed to individuals working through JUS Official Services. After those concerns were brought directly to JUS, outstanding compensation and significant financial difficulties were acknowledged to Captain Matt Music in writing.

“Captain Matt and The Boatcrew has always been about more than music. We are a #BoatcrewFamily, and that means being transparent with each other, especially when things do not go according to plan,” said Captain Matt. “When circumstances arise that could affect our musicians, our crew, our business partners, or our #BoatcrewFamily, I have a responsibility as Captain to protect the crew and make the necessary course correction.”

JUS Official Services and Nikolas M. Hake are no longer authorized to represent Captain Matt Music or Captain Matt and The Boatcrew in any capacity. This includes booking performances, negotiating on the band's behalf, making representations concerning the band, collecting payments, or otherwise conducting business on behalf of Captain Matt Music.

Captain Matt Music has assumed direct control of booking activity, venue relationships, tour operations, and business communications previously being coordinated through JUS Official Services. The company is reviewing and independently confirming arrangements associated with the current Boatcrew Paradise Tour before proceeding with affected dates.

Venues, promoters, musicians, vendors, sponsors, and other business partners who previously communicated with JUS Official Services regarding Captain Matt and The Boatcrew are being asked to communicate directly with Captain Matt Music regarding the status of any booking, payment instruction, agreement, or other arrangement involving the band.

Additional financial and legal matters between Captain Matt Music and JUS Official Services will be handled privately and through the appropriate professional and legal channels.

Captain Matt emphasized that the band's commitment to transparency will continue throughout the process.

“Transparency does not mean litigating private disputes on social media or speculating about someone's intentions,” Captain Matt said. “It means telling the truth about what affects this crew, taking responsibility for the decisions we make, and keeping our #BoatcrewFamily informed. When there is something we can responsibly share, we will share it. When something needs to be handled privately through the proper channels, we will be honest about that too.”

Boatcrew Paradise Tour Will Continue

Captain Matt Music emphasized that the termination of its relationship with JUS Official Services does not mark the end of the Boatcrew Paradise Tour. The current schedule is being reviewed while the company restructures the booking and operational support surrounding the tour.

“Every course sometimes has to be deviated by the Captain when storms arise to keep the crew safe,” Captain Matt said. “This is one of those times. We are correcting course, taking care of our crew, and moving forward. The destination hasn't changed. We just had to change the course we were taking to get there.”
