FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CAPTAIN MATT RESPONDS TO SUSPENSION OF JUS OFFICIAL SERVICES, CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY, COMPASSION AND CONCERN FOR NIKOLAS HAKE’S WELL-BEING
Survivor Stories effort remains focused on documenting firsthand experiences, protecting those affected and preventing further harm
FREEPORT, TEXAS, October 6, 2026 — Following Nikolas Hake’s announcement during a livestream that he is officially suspending operations of JUS Official Services, Captain Matt is calling for continued accountability for unresolved matters while also expressing serious concern for Hake’s personal well-being.
The announcement follows several days in which former employees, artists, contractors and others connected to JUS Official Services have begun publicly sharing firsthand accounts of their experiences through an organized Survivor Stories project.
“From the beginning, our purpose has been to document what happened, present the facts, allow the people directly affected to tell their experiences in their own words, and prevent additional people from being harmed,” Captain Matt said. “Nikolas announcing that he is suspending operations is significant, but it does not erase what has already happened.”
Individuals involved have reported unpaid wages, unreimbursed expenses, financial losses and other consequences they attribute to their dealings with Hake and JUS Official Services. Those individuals continue to have the opportunity to document and share their own firsthand experiences.
Captain Matt emphasized that the effort is not intended to encourage harassment or personal attacks against Hake.
“My concern right now is for the well-being of everyone involved, and that includes Nikolas,” Captain Matt said. “Based on things I personally witnessed during the time he stayed in my home as a guest and traveled with us, combined with everything that has happened over the past several days, I am genuinely concerned about his well-being.”
Captain Matt is asking Hake’s family, friends and others who remain in direct contact with him to encourage him to seek appropriate professional assistance.
“I am pleading with the people who are close to Nikolas to reach out to him, encourage him to get help and make sure he is safe,” Captain Matt said. “If anyone close to him has reason to believe he may be a danger to himself, I hope they will involve qualified medical, mental-health, social-service or other appropriate authorities rather than attempting to handle the situation alone.”
Captain Matt said he believes the best immediate course is for Hake to step completely away from the operations of JUS Official Services while unresolved matters are addressed and Hake receives appropriate support.
“Accountability and compassion are not mutually exclusive,” Captain Matt said. “The facts do not change because I am concerned about Nikolas. The people who have been affected still deserve to be heard, legitimate financial obligations still need to be addressed, and disputed or potentially defamatory statements can be handled through the appropriate channels. At the same time, none of us should want another person to be harmed.”
Captain Matt is also asking everyone involved in the developing situation to exercise restraint, avoid threats or harassment, preserve relevant documentation and remain focused on firsthand facts.
“This has never been about attacking Nikolas personally or winning an arguement,” Captain Matt said. “It has been about providing facts, documenting what happened and preventing other people from experiencing the same harm. If suspending JUS Official Services is the first step toward stopping that harm, I welcome that decision.”
He concluded with an appeal to everyone involved.
“There has already been enough harm. Our focus now should be protecting the people who have been affected, preventing anyone else from being harmed, and making sure that concern extends to Nikolas himself. I sincerely hope he gets the help and guidance he needs.”
